Rooted within the courtyard of Apley Farm Shop, Moongate Plant Centre has much to offer. From walking through our signature entrance, you will find an oasis of calm, a verdant, lush plethora of plants and intimate plant areas to peruse and explore within our Secret Garden. Nestled within this green space is our Garden and Home Shop.
We are a family run Independent Plant Centre with plants and customer service at the heart of our horticultural roots. Believing plants and gardens, however small, help to restore a sense of well being and balance within our lives and the environment.

Moongate Plant Centre Offers:
- Experienced Horticultural Trained Staff: On hand to advise wherever we can.
- Border Creation Service: Plant Designers available to help customers design their own individual planting schemes.
- Moongate Celebration Gardens: A unique way to dress your wedding venue or other celebration. This service creates a garden backdrop for special events, in particular weddings, being able to utilise the plants thereafter in the bride and grooms new garden or otherwise, providing a lasting memory of special celebrations.
- Plant Sourcing and Quotation Service: For any plants customers would like but can’t find. We are also able to supply plants for landscapes and woodland, sourcing locally wherever possible. If you are looking at buying in large quantities we will endeavour to provide competitive rates, being able to use a wide supplier network to gain better prices (please note our commitment to supplying quality plants may mean the cheapest price isn’t always provided, with pest and disease on the rise we source only from responsible growers).
- Secret Garden: Planted gardens for customers to peruse. Within our plant centre, we hope that this will assist with generating ideas.
- Garden and Home: On site shop with eclectic finds for inside and out.
- Salvage Ware: Quirky, original and hand-picked pieces sourced countrywide.
- Christmas at Moongate Plant Centre: From November we stock an eclectic range of garden and homeware, gifts and accessories.
